How to make a Paper Pom Pom

Final Paper Pom Pom using Magnifique Level 2 Paper Packet X7127B

Take a B&T paper (patterned) and use CTMH new 2" Scallop Circle Punch Z1392
and punch out three rows of 2" x 12" paper.*** Also punch out one scallop circle in cardstock to use as a base.  I used Lagoon cardstock.X5762

Use a Finishing File Z1091 or a chopstick to fold the scallop circle around.  You can also use the new Spay Pen Z1380 but only fill it with water, then use it to mist over the center of the paper to make it more flexible.  The paper will actually stiffen up more and stay in shape after it is sprayed with water.  Once you have a bunch scrunched up into coned shaped "flowerettes" you can apply a layer of Liquid Glass Z679 to the one CARDSTOCK scallop circle which will be your Pom Pom base.

Apply a layer of Liquid Glass Z679 directly on top of  the first layer of scrunched "flowerette" scallop circles.  Carefully add another layer of scrunched scallop circles and press each one down.  You can add more of the Liquid Glass if needed.

Here is what your Pom Pom should look like once you have added two layers.  I  applied another layer of Liquid Glass and then one last layer of scrunched up cones of scallop circles.  Three layers in total. Make sure to save one of the scrunched up cones for the very top as this is the final touch!

Apply a dollop of Liquid Glass directly in the center and very top of your Pom Pom.  Take your last scrunched up cone that you made from the scallop circle and press it firmly into the center of the Pom Pom.  It should give and push in nicely.  And gently open it up a little in the center to spread it out.

And voila'....you have a darling little Pom Pom.  You can add it to a card, attach a clip with a hot glue gun on the back and add it to a project, add a pin to the back and some ribbon and wear it as a brooch or add a bobby pin and wear it in your hair.  The possibilities are endless!

Here is a Pom Pom that I made using the new Wings Paper.
